The Ducati 916 was made from 1994 to 1998.  It was Ducati’s updated model from the 888.  Ducati 916 was admired because of its new design and outstanding technical features for the time. It was developed for the race track and was equipped with a rear swinging arm and exhausts under the seat, for improved aerodynamics. The engine “The Ducati Desmoquattro” a water-cooled, four-valve engine putting out 114 bhp and onto a top speed of 159.7 mph.
The Ducati 916 was successful in the World Superbike Championship, with Carl Fogarty winning it in 1994 and 1995 and again in 1998, Tony Corser winning it in 1996. The bike kickstarted the current super bike looks and is a true classic sports bike, as long as it’s red.
